🧵 Suggested Fabrics
Cotton Spandex Jersey is our most popular fabric choice for leggings. Leggings are designed specifically for stretchy knit fabrics containing at least 5% spandex (Lycra). Woven and stretch woven fabrics are not suitable for this style, as they won’t provide the stretch and recovery needed for the pattern. Even knit fabrics such as 100% cotton fleece won’t have enough stretch—they must contain at least 5% spandex. Suggested fabric: Cotton Spandex Jersey or another knit fiber blend that has at least 5% spandex for sufficient stretch.

Yardage Requirements – Leggings:
Yardage is based on a maximum inseam of 25". For longer inseams or fabric shrinkage, additional yardage may be required.

For 58/60" wide fabric:

1X–3X 1.25 yards
4X–10X 2.5 yards

44/45" wide fabric is not applicable, as the knit fabrics suitable for this style are not available in that width.

Excellent legging capris. I bought a pair in cotton lycra jersey knit, and this is great legging fabric. Not sheer at all! There's enough cotton for it to be soft and breathable, enough lycra for it to stretch and keep its shape.

If you're thinking about buying these and you have fit issues, email Janelle with your measurements! The front rise is always too long and the thighs are always too tight for me on store-bought pants. Janelle kindly offered to modify her patterns for me and now I have CAPRIS THAT FIT! The only thing that would make these better is pockets so I can carry my cell phone.
