🧵 Suggested Fabrics
This pattern can be sewn in a knit or a woven fabric, but keep it to light or medium weight fabrics.
Our favorite everyday looks are with woven fabrics: quilting cottons, chambray, gauzes and flannel. Rayon challis or a linen transforms this pattern into a dressier look.
🛍️ Our Favored Fabric Sources
- KnitFabric.com – for cotton spandex jersey solid colors and prints.
- Gray Lines Linen – Either their mid-weight "Judy" style, or the handkerchief weight linens would work.
- SewBatik.com – Any of their batik fabrics, except the canvas, would work.
- Sew Yeah Quilting – Their quilting cotton prints section is particularly extensive.
- The Block Prints Shop on Etsy – Beautiful Indian hand block printed cottons for a hot weather dress.

For all sizes (up to a 55" long garment):
- In 58/60" fabric: 5 yards
- In 44/45" fabric: 6 yards
