🧵 Suggested Fabrics
This pattern is for woven, non-stretch fabrics. It works equally well for light weight, drapey fabrics, or medium weight fabrics with more body, it just changes the look slightly. If you wish to have the same style sewn in a knit fabric, see our Newbury Tunic.
Our favorite looks: chambray, denim, flannel, challis, poplin, broadcloth, linen and quilting cottons.
🛍️ Our Favored Fabric Sources
- Gray Lines Linen – Either their mid-weight "Judy" style, or the handkerchief weight linens would work.
- SewBatik.com – Any of their batik fabrics, except the canvas, would work.
- Sew Yeah Quilting – Their quilting cotton prints section is particularly extensive.
- The Block Prints Shop on Etsy – Beautiful Indian hand block printed cottons for a hot weather dress.

Yardage is based on a tunic length of up to 42". If you want it longer, extra fabric may be required. In the larger sizes, seams may be added.
For 58/60" wide fabric:
